The Key to Staying on Budget

 

Plan.

It’s just like the saying goes, “fail to plan, plan to fail”.  Every week we ‘plan’ to spend at least $125 for groceries/grocery store necessities.  If you’re anything like me, I like to wander around the grocery store and next thing I know, I have $250 in groceries!

We decided to make a change and started planning out our meals for the week.  That is what truly saved our wallets!  Each Sunday we sit down at the kitchen and think about what type of meals we would like to have throughout the week.  Some meals are repetitive and there are some weeks we have date nights on Fridays.
