BBBC: Paper Towns

Last month, I was able to choose the book for the club to read.  I am HUGE on reading books before watching the movie.  How fitting was it that I chose to read Paper Towns by John Green the same month that it came out in theaters AND I was in Orlando – the main setting for this book?!

Paper Towns

Paper Towns is about your typical “techie” guy, Quentin and his beautiful next door neighbor, Margo.  They have a not-so-typical relationship.  Late one night, at the end of their senior year of high school, Quentin and Margo go on a scavenger hunt in their “paper town,” Orlando.  The next day, Margo goes missing and has left Quentin clues to find her.

This story kept me entertained as I couldn’t wait for them to be reunited.

I could not put this book down once I got started.  My Amazon Kindle was with me the entire week I was on vacation!  Now, I just need to watch the movie so I can compare.

Ashley – If You Give a Girl a Ring
Lisa P. – Blush and Black Roads
Stephanie – The Wonky Brow

The August novel – Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline – was chosen by Lisa P. from Blush and Back Roads.  I’m not a huge fan of “time pieces,” but this one sounds like a good one!

The Uncommon Wife.

The Beauty Blogger Book Club began in January of 2015! We currently have 6 Members with various blog content. Each month, one of the Beauty Blogger Book Club (BBBC) members chooses a book for the Club to read. At the beginning of the following month, we each write a book report/summary for our readers to enjoy and share the book for the following month! The “Club” provides all of us bloggers an opportunity to network and read books outside of our comfort zones!
