For the past two weeks, my mornings begin with a devotion and a “life lesson” from Regina Brett’s book “God Never Blinks: 50 Lessons for Life’s Little Detours“. Life lesson number fifteen really hit home for me.
“Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry, God never blinks.”
In this particular lesson, Brett talks about the things we miss when we blink. Whatever it is that you missed when you blinked, God saw.
For me, I feel like it was just yesterday I was graduating high school and looking forward to my adult years. Then, I blinked. Since that day I got my high school diploma, I have seen most of the east coast, visited four countries, graduated college, got married, and have been through two full-time positons. All of that passed me in the blink of an eye.
When I feel like I have not seen the entire picture, I find comfort in knowing that God has. Every thing happens for a reason.
If you have not read this book, I highly encourage you to. Brett has written a book that is great for all ages and lessons that are helpful for every day life.
How do you start your mornings?
