Little Victories

Earlier this year I began running for stress relief and so I could catch up with the rest of the world and run a 5K or two.  Running has not only been a great way to manage my stress, but I also have never felt so good in my life!Last year, Tigh ran the 80’s Glow Run 5K in our hometown while I stayed behind and waited at the finish line (I hadn’t ran since 2008 and I sure as heck wasn’t going to start then).
This year, Tigh stayed back and ran with me at my pace! My goal for this 5K was to beat my time from the Paint Pikeville Pink 5K race (33:40). And I did (31:54)!! I even won my age group!

It just goes to show that you can do all things…when you believe you can AND when you have an awesome coach encouraging you to keep going!

Little victories.

What keeps you going?
